Marie is just getting ready to launch her website, and needed some images to highlight her makeup artistry.  I had so much fun with her and her models doing this shoot - wine, gossip, makeup - might as well have been hanging out with some girlfriends ;-)

Check out some before and afters:

We deliberately kept the photography fairly straightforward, to really let the makeup shine ;-)2.jpg

Oh my! So Many amazing shoes! I'm partial to all the blue ones...blue being my fave color and all, but those green ones are pretty close second. Loves me some great shoes full of personality! Can't wait to see what's in store for you this year!

We know what Lynn can do if she quits her day job. You look fabulous. The pictures are beautiful. If you didn't have your winter coats on I would think it was warm in Chicago.

well, i've already posted some of their trash-the-dress session - now for the actual wedding!

mark + meghann tied the knot at Le Kliff, an amazing restaurant that sits, literally, on the edge of a cliff - couldn't ask for a better view!

her dress was just gorgeous and fit her *perfectly*

mark + meghann - hope you enjoyed this preview!  i cannot thank you both enough for bringing me along and trusting me to shoot this day for you.  you guys were so easygoing and great to work with - tommy and i both felt like you treated us as guests.  we had an absolute blast hanging out with you and everyone else at Barcelo (i miss my magic bracelet!).

hope all is well and you are getting settled into your new digs in Seattle!

once again, i love them all :] i don't know if you noticed, but in the series of meghann and mark dancing, the arm of the mariachi band player kind of makes a white heart in between the photos. cool!

So I'm going a little out of order here ;-)

I still have to blog the wedding, but I was processing this session today, and just had to share a few.

First off, I've got to give props to Mark for even doing this shoot - he was not feeling well at all (a week in Mexico'll do that to ya!) - but, he didn't want want to let down his lady (or his photographer!), and was such a trooper ;-)  Thanks Mark!  Hope seeing these images make it all worthwhile!IMG_0196T.jpg

I feel I should add a note to future bride's who are considering TTD with Abby - granted my wedding dress wasn't bright white, but it was an expensive fabric...and it looks as good as new after sitting in the sand and ocean! Apparently salt water is recommended for 'cleaning' wedding gowns so I let it air dry, shook out the sand, and you can't even tell it was in the Pacific! My daughter still could wear it in her wedding - although I'm still pretty sure if I have a daughter she won't want to...

I thought I'd take advantage of my 'slow' season by sharing some fun wedding trends I've picked up on.  One of the cutest things i've noticed over the past few years is that more and more couples are incorporating their animal friends into their big day.

Here's some of my favorites:

First up are Dan and Monica with their adorable pooch Alexus, who joined us for both the wedding and engagement shoot!

Next we have Craig and Melissa
this shot totally cracks me up!  just look at that tongue!Miller_0340.jpg

We can't forget Sarah and Mike with Tang the kitty
mayberry-1036.jpg
Steve and Amanda (who come from a whole family of dog lovers!!)
How cute are the ties?!

these lucky pooches were even commemorated on the cake topper

Jessica with her dog:

Of course, there's Jen and Mike with their adorable Rory:doggie.jpg

IMG_6517T.jpg
And last but not least we have Alyssa and Will - their dogs weren't allowed at the actual wedding - for some reason the Henry Ford doesn't allow pets - I can't imagine why not! ;-)  But they were there in spirit, and did get to come along for our engagement shootshrieber-106T.jpg

Can't wait to see how many cute pets I'll meet in 2009!  Stay tuned for the next trendwatch: funky shoes!!

My last wedding of 2008 - and couldn't have asked for a nicer couple to wrap up the year with.  Although, why this California couple chose to wed in November in Michigan is a mystery to me ;-)

I love this shot of Randi getting readyIMG_1890T.jpg

Randi + Rob - it was such fun spending the day with you!  Hope you're having an amazing honeymoon.

Now that my wedding season has wrapped up, i'll be hard at work the next weeks finishing all the editing i've still got left, designing albums, and putting the finishing touches on my fab new space (stay tuned for pics!).

Hard to believe 2008 is almost over and your wedding season is over! What a beautiful year of pictures. I have enjoyed every post and all the fun memories. Thank you for everything. Oh and as far as your "Not sure why I adore this shot" that is my favorite of this post. It reminds me of an ad you would see for wedding dresses or rings?!?! I too am not sure what it is, a vintage feel maybe with a bit of mystery about the bride? I cannot wait to see the new studio =-)

I've been so excited for this wedding, and it did not disappoint!  I've been teasing Alyssa that she had the 'dream team' of wedding vendors:  Amazing Vera Wang dress, Makeup and hair by Luigi Bruni's best, Ryan and the epic motion team on video, Mel Ball and Colors wedding band, Emerald City to make it all look pretty, the gorgeous backdrop of Lovett Hall - and moi, of course ;-)

Alyssa's dress was stunning - I love the organic detailing
