the minute lauren and her mom walked into my studio, I knew I had to work with them!  In fact, I think I would have cried if they didn't hire me ;-)

lauren and adam are a super-fun couple getting married in Ann Arbor next year.  They both grew up in the Burns Park neighborhood, so we met up there for an engagement session last week.

I am so excited for this wedding later in the summer!  sam and agatha are a great couple, and we had a blast shooting around downtown ann arbor.  i love it when a couple is really into their session - sam and agatha came prepared with cute outfit changes and everything!

What an awesome session I had with these two!  Sometimes my favorite shoots are the ones where we set out without any real location in mind and just follow the light.  That's exactly what we did here - wandered through some corners of Ann Arbor in search of amazing light - and did we ever find it!

We met up with matt and megan while we were in Chicago last weekend for an engagement shoot.  While it was a little chilly out, we still got some amazing images!

Tommy and I trekked to Chicago this past weekend for two awesome engagement sessions.  I gotta say - Chicago rocks!  What a great city.  Amazing parks and beaches, and public art everywhere.  We had a delightful time ;-)

First up are Lynn and Shane, who are getting married later this summer.

We cruised around to a few different spots in the city




We were determined to get some cool 'skyline' photos - let's just say, they're really not kidding around with that 'windy city' stuff!

I met up with Jen and Ken earlier today for an engagement session  - we chose U of M's law quad (ken is an alum) which is always a lovely spot to shoot!

I think this is my favorite shot from our whole shoot - it really shows how playful they are - these guys kept each other laughing the whole time ;-)

Sooo....what is there to do when you've scheduled an engagement shoot in the middle of a winter storm?  Not much, except jump in and have fun!

You know I meant that literally, right? ;-)

This sled was made by her grandfather - cool, huh?  I wish someone had been there to take pictures of me - I was knee-deep in snow at this point - I think it's me they're laughing at!
